Recently in one of my computers I noticed a missing partition, quick look in the Disk Management revealed that it had no formatting and drive letter, because I had copy of that drive I just recreated that partition.

The question is why has it happened.

PS: Please don't mind my bad English.

Spoiler

Legolessed - You don't have a 10 terabyte raid array in your phone?

Usually that means that windows can't detect file system. It can't read ext1,2,3,4, btrfs, fat16 i'm not sure, zfs, and mac's (don't remember the name). I have worked in windows only with ntfs, fat32 and ext4 via third-party driver

It could be that the partition that was then unknown (No FS, No Drive letter) just got it's Partition Table corrupted because of some reason. What kind of reason is hard to disclose. But in this case, some special software should be able to restore the data that was (is!) on it. EaseUS Partition Recovery for example.

Hope that helps a bit!
