Thats a reasonable purchase, but with many caveats of buying a server platform.

Like only a single pcie slot, and you need windows server to run it since windows 10 doesnt support multiple CPUs.

EDIT: Seems like windows 10 pro supports 2 CPUs.

Alright:

  • Core 2 Quad is old as balls, might still work but depends on price.
  • Low amount of storage so not many games will fit.
  • Quality of PSU is important, might be shit, might be good.
  • RAM is good.

For $120 it's not bad, but it has no GPU so gaming wint be a thing.

What do you have right now?

for $120, it's gonna need some work if you want to game but it seems like a pretty okay deal. add in a 1tb HDD and an RX 470/480 and it should do fine for a gaming PC.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

thanks everyone,

the thing I wanted to know is that since it's pre built upgradability would be shit and since this is already old as balls shouldn't I build a pc from scratch for more money, I have a budget of like $500.
