Ok so I pulled apart my CPU cooler (like all of it, including the fin block.) Anyways, I am running prime 95 to make sure I didn't fuck it up. So far im not sure about temps, but I do know one thing. My CPU is freakin out. Ive had abo-ut 4 crashes in 30 minutes compared to 0 in the last 3 months. My CPU temps are both higher and lower than before but idk.

But what im really concerned about is why my 2nd core (technically Core 1 from 0-3) is getting an error almost instantly in P95.

Thoughts? Temps are fine. Staying under 90C which isn't ideal bur ill figure that out later.

I'd take out and reseat the CPU, make sure your BIOS is up to date, and then test it. If it doesn't work, reset any OC you may have and try again.

1.4v Seems a bit high for a 6600K I would back the voltage off to 1.3 or less

I think that's actually alright for Skylake.  Haswell was said to be fine up to about 1.35 and (oddly) Skylake is said to tolerate even higher voltages.

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

yes I have seen people use 1.5 even on skylake but if the system is unstable that would be the first place I would go.
