The requirement for a eGPU setup is USB Type-C thunderbolt 3 connection, alongside with motherboard compatibility.

Your current laptop does not comply with the requirements.

Currently as i know, only a few laptops in the market support the eGPU setup, such includes the razer blade stealth.

I found a list over here to help you https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12G1VTFWkTL5tb8nxUAtnDHwTLyya9I3Vw-OXXrIN4e4/edit#gid=934244290.

Incorrect.

TB2 docks exist

As well as ExpressCard

And M.2 PCIE x4

And Mini-PCIe.

Saying that eGPU setups that are not 'consumer' or mainstream don't exist is nonsense

idk

What i was mentioning was the "proper" eGPU setup.

As far as his options go, the only viable option would be the mpcie which would require the removal of his wifi card, back panel of the laptop and several other janky adapters.

Not that viable if you want the laptop to remain a laptop.

Proper, yeah. But EC is still proper - it's an external port.

MPCIE is janky asf but the cable on the beast disconnects, so just leave the cable in the chassis.

idk
