AMD 1600 b350 ddr4 or ................................ ?

yathis

Priced out B350 with a 1600 and 8gb for $470cdn

How much could I get for my i7-920 with P6T X58 with 1tb, 12GB, case, cx500???

Should I sell it, or upgrade grade it and get the x5675 Xeon for $100, then all in I'd be in @ $300, but for an extra $170 I could get amd.

I feel conflicted

I think I can get $300 for my i7-920 p6t

So an extra $170 to grab a new amd is pretty good in my books.

How long do I gotta wait for prices to drop on AMD?

Just wanna make sure that you get 3200 MHz RAM. Since Ryzen benefits a lot from it.

Definitely not an expert on the price of the system but if I had to take a guess maybe $150-$200?

EDIT: Oops I was talking USD yeah in CAD you could probably go $300 or so

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

probably a while because they literally just dropped, I would expect prices to rise a little before they fall

So I should sell my i7-920 system now because I never use it.

Then invest it for when I actually need a new system

Hopefully cpu benchmark website has Ryzen on there now.

The 1400 is a no go

Sure, why not

Also userbenchmark is trash don't use it. Legitimate benchmarks is the way to go.

In my opinion, 1500x and 1400 aren't very good, 1600 and and 1600x are where it's at.

Not accurate, it's very generalized and you can't get specific info. Basing stuff on user ratings is sh!t. Use legitimate benchmarks instead.
