Hey all, not sure if this is in the right place or not but here goes.

PC:

CPU: i5-6600K Overclocked to 4.3 GHz (Hyper 212 EVO, can't get much higher)

RAM: 16 GB DDR4 2133 stock, rated for 3000 though (no idea how to change this)

GPU MSI RADEON RX 480 4GB @ 1316 MHz (don't wanna OC this because I borked my last card trying)

MOBO: ASUS Z170-A (yay plain jane)

Internet: 54 down, 11 up (this is later in the evening, during the day more like 35, and 9)

So with that in mind, why does my stream ALWAYS look like shit. Like so bad that youtube is like, hey now, no thanks, fix this and we'll let you come back. I am thinking about swapping to Twitch, but I feel it will be the same issue. I hear unpartnered people on Twitch actually have it worse?

OBS SETTINGS:

Output > Streaming
X264 Encoder

Rate control CBR

Bitrate 3500

Keyframe interval = 0 (default)

CPU usage preset - Very fast

Video settings

Base Res 1920x1080

Output Res 1920x1080

Downscale filter; Bicubic, 16 samples

Common FPS value 60

Advanced settings (not sure if needed)

Process priority Normal

Renderer; Direct3D 11

Pretty sure the rest is default

Anyways, any help that anyone could provide would be appreciated. I can record just fine, but streaming is the pits.

try a higher one but remember its harder on your CPU so lower FPS in game but your cpu should be able to handle it

Sorry try a higher one what?

Going to guess cause you are outputting 1080p which requires a very high bit rate. Try 720p with the same bitrate

Do I need to change that in both Video and streaming settings? I changed it in streaming and it din't seem to do much unfortunately :(

Only for output, and @hunterskater429 meant Cpu usage preset. Ignore the 10 fps set that to 60 or 30
