Should I plug both 6pins in while using a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter?

So I have a graphics card that is 8 pins.

My computer has two 6 pins. I have an adapter that has two 6 pins to one 8 pin.

2 6-pin to 8-pin adapters are safe unless they're from a really sketchy brand. If it comes bundled with a GPU you can trust it.

Molex to PCIe adapters should scare you. Dual 6 to 8 is fine.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Molex is a perfectly valid source of power delivery in 2017 if you're building a computer made of components from 1998.
