Headset questions

Looking for a color neutral headset, I've used shitty, cheap headsets my whole life. Time for an upgrade, what do you guys suggest?

Whenever you plug the mic into the headset, do you have to connect the mic jack in too?

I don't use Cloud II

It depends if your devices uses mic/audio combo or mic audio separate ports

I have a z170 chipset board, but the ports are labeled differently

I wouldnt recommend a ModMic unless you dont mind a bulky cable linking you to the computer or have a wireless headset. The combo of headset cord and ModMic cable are overly cumbersome
