Hi

I build a PC for my friend which has R9 270x graphics card. The PC is working for 10 days now and it has some problems.

I would like to say that PC is stable it passed stress tests ok. And after 1-2 days of use by my friend he complained that his LoL graphics is strange. I quickly fix that by resetting driver to default. Next day he complained that he sees thin horizontal lines on his screen. I tried everything except “korean” msi bios update. The thing is that PC and my friend is in another city and components are bought in my city and I can’t easily go to him and try something else or even bios update. And I am not comfortable to let him do it because he does not have any skill in that sort of stuff.

My question is are any of you had that issue with R9 series cards. Do you know a fix, though I am quite aware that it is a bios or driver problem. And we just need to wait.

But it is not my PC. I build it for a friend who paid for it, and now it is not working properly and it is an awkward situation for me.

In terms of the AMD card, you definitely need to continually be updating drivers, as AMD is not known for their good drivers.

The r9 2xx series shouldn't support analog signals.  VGA shouldn't have worked to begin with; use a dvi cable.

Don’t know about no analog signals support, he has only vga connector. And so do I and PC worked on my monitor also and I to have vga connector only (Philips 220E).

And I suppose if they didn’t  support analog signal they would not ship the card with DVI to VGA adapter.
