Data Recovery

Hi!

 

Does anyone know a good FREE (meaning 100% free) data recovery tool? Every one I find advertises a free trial but can't actually recover anything unless you pay.

TestDisk and PhotoRec are ones I can personally recommend. Also Puran Recovery.

Thanks guys! I ended up with Recuva and despite the extremely long time (4 hours) it took to find the deleted files it did find them!

It depends on how valuable your data was and much you want to spend to get it back.

Don't bother Trying to use Recuva. Definitely will not get your lost data. After using Pandora Recover for a couple of days, I have ended up being very impressed with it. It is very fast with finding recoverable files and when you click on what you want brought back, it restores the file and sends it back to your hard drive within seconds.

I've used easeUS, the have a free version wich is limited to 2gig, but the also have free trials for the pro versions i believe.
I ended up buying a licence, love that program
