Hey, I don't know much about computers that much. But right I now have a 530 watt psu. I'm thinking about getting a GTX 770. But I don't think my psu could support it. Would a RaidMax 530 watt be able to do it? At least until I can buy a new power supply. Also have a i5 4670 Haswell if that matters at all.

It should work just fine. How many amps do you have on the 12v rail?

Raidmax isn't a bad brand. As long as the PSU can deliver enough amps on the 12V side, you'll be good to go.

Oh god, is that a "test" swtich and LED on the power supply?? I haven't seen those since power supplies from the early 2000's.

I STRONGLY suggest that you get a new power supply first. Why?

  1. Bogus power rating (overall max is 530W...514W from adding +3.3v, +5v, and +12v together)
  2. two 20A +12v rails...then...25A on +5v, 25A on +3.3v?
  3. UP TO 80% efficient
  4. Doesn't swtich betwen 115V or 230V automatically (what else in the circuit is missing? Active PFC? etc?)
  5. Fuckin "test" switch??

Seems like they dropped more money on the asthetics than the actualy build quality of the unit
