So I have this build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qyzBYr I want to know if It can all go together well. as for the cooler I plan on going for this if the motherboard allows it https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Triple-Liquid-Powerf... I think I need an am3 backplate. I'll be using this for gaming, streaming and possibly video editing.

The Crosshair has support for AM3 socket cooling so you should be good. I would agree with @FTL, though. You should maybe consider getting an aftermarket 1080ti with an open air cooler design.

WHIPLASH

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k @4.7GHz

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 2x8GB @3000MHz

MOBO: Asus ROG Maximus VIII Ranger

GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW2

PSU: EVGA Supernova 650GS

CASE: Fractal Design Define S

Change the R7 1800X to the R7 1700.

You should be fine with 16GB Ram. Also check ram compatibility on the manufacturers website as not all boards will play happy with 4 sticks of ram at high speeds.

You don't need 1000W psu. A 750W/850W would do fine if you plan to SLI.

the cpu doesn't come with a cooler. aparently, though it may be a false return from the website

get a 212 evo or something.

and as of yet (until ram manufacturers start pushing out zen optimized sticks) high speed ram can be a bit problematic on ryzen in general.

It is easier to get higher speeds with 2 sticks though. As for the problems they should be ironed out with bios updates.
