safe to delete temp files?

Go to solution Solved by mgsstar,

The Asus errors are due to task. Go to your task scheduler and find the folder Asus and delete tasks that are related to the ini files. Post a picture of the Asus tasks so I can confirm which tasks to delete if you are unsure.

I've tried to run Ccleaner today and after doing so got some crazy errors, these weren't registry errors... They were errors from Asus setup saying that a .ini file was missing, it said this every... single... time I started up.  And I have no idea on how to stop the errors or anything.  Because my temp folder is 600mb and rising.  And since I only have a small SSD I'm afraid of loosing all my space to the temp folder!  I have an Asus p9x79LE Motherboard and a GTX 650 DCU graphics card that both are Asus.  Could anyone help me?

You can delete whatever you want in the .temp folder. So long as you don't save anything there.

I don't see any Asus Folders, no

When you click on the Task Scheduler Library, it should display a bunch of tasks beside the folders. See if you can find tasks that have i-Setup in it and delete it.

Try rebooting after you deleted the i-Setup tasks and the errors should go away.

A lot of the time this may seem to happen.

What is a temp file? I think many may know.

If a temp file is in use, it will not allow to be deleted.

If it is just waiting for a program to delete it or for it to reuse it (restore), it should delete after close down while it may leave behind traces (if it doesn't need it).

Yes, it is actually safe to do this. many errors may seem to be the cause of this action however. Seem. For the most part, it is fine, no doubt.

I think I said one or two things way too many times.

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
