The cable on my beloved Cloud II broke recently, HyperX is already sending me a new one (because warranty) but the E-Mail says I won't have to send the broken one back.

The problem with my current one is that occasionally only the left ear works, unless I wiggle the cable around and stay still. So I thought if I would be able to fix it, I'd have a second Cloud II for guests or something.

Any ideas for fixing the cable would be very appreciated

That cable looks fine, but as you said, it seems like the wires or some contacts are broken. Do you move a lot while playing? Have you seen if the cable is fully extended or something similarly? Or have you by mistake knotted it? I guess there might be a faulty contact either inside that jack or inside your headphones where the cable connects to the motherboard.

I'd say one of the conductors broke, dunno how because I don't practice knots with my cables.

Also, the issue is consistent on everything I tried it on (5 devices)

:D

I tried that with my headphones. A pair of oZone rage ST(might be an unknown manufacturer in your country, I don't know yet). The headphones seem to have deattachable microphone that stopped working after some long periods of using. I have tried to fix them, check the cables etc but nothing happened. Now I use that mic separately from the headphones.

So, I tested it again and it seems like it isn't the cable but a loose contact inside the headphones

I googled "HyperX support" and the looked for the german one. There I found a telephone number, which I just called. Gave them my e-Mail and the rest went over their website.

I know this is an old thread, but to ask Obersachse, how did you contact with hyperx to replace your headset with a new one?

I googled "HyperX support" and then looked for the German one (obviously choose your country). There I found a telephone number, which I just called where I then explained my issue, gave them the device number and my E-Mail and the rest went over their website.

This is pretty old now, but I had a similar problem to this, except the contacts were fine. Anyone know where to get a replacement cable for it?

Im still there no problem. HyperX replaced mine and let me keep the broken one.

For that one I just bought a 4-pin AUX Cable and it's now working fine again, just make sure you solder the wires in the right way and don't forget to tie a knot into the cable inside the headphones, otherwise the tiny wires will rip off the solder pads when you put strain on the cable.
