Display can go through HDMI always; however, sound may not always

If your monitor has audio out then yeah.

If your monitor does not, you will have to go through the phono sound that comes out of a different port on the PS3.

You should have a cable like this with your PS3

Then get one of these and you're sorted

Then go into the PS3 menu and go Settings>Audio>Set output devices

AND sorry for editing too much

Don't all MONITORS have audio out and not in?

Or I'm I mistaken :c
