Surround Sound PC Gaming?

Hello I have a Yamaha UR 22

(NOT THE MARK II EDITION)

This supports stereo out, and has a headphone jack. (The ports are 1/4 inch but I have 1/4 inch to 3.5mm converters.)

I was curious if I could setup a surround sound system on my computer, and if I could, would I be able to, or have to use my current soundcard?

It is an external music studio designed card with USB 2.0

I have headphones but it just doesn't sound right as games are 3 dimensional and headphones are less (Currently have Music Studio grade Sennheisser HD 280 pro and they sound great for music and games, location of sound is less exciting.)

Whether or not games support this feature I still would like to see what I can do.

I assume you mean The Steinberg UR22.

Do you want sourround headphones or just 6 speakers

Yeah the Steinberg UR22, I forgot. Yamaha bought Steinberg.

Speakers. I didn't think there'd be 6 but yes, I want speakers. NOT headphones.
