I'm currently building a new pc and want a good silent option for a modular power supply. I plan to over clock with this setup.

-Asus hero vi

-i7 4770k

-asus gtx 780

-16gb Kingston hyper x red

-dark rock pro 2

-kingstong hyper x ssd 240gb

-a few storage devices

-alot of fans as I won't be liquid cooling this build since it will be a mobile work bench moving from place to place.

What size of power supply would you suggest 750? And what are my options for a silent modular psu?

Cooler Master V850 or Corsair RM850 ? 850W might be a lot but well, you can't get any better for the money. And yes 750W is just fine :D

I'd say unless you want to SLI go for the 650 Watt Corsair RM Series one. If you want to SLI go for the 850 Watt one.

My Pc: Cpu: I7 4790k @ 4,8 Ghz @1,25 volts, Motherboard: Maximus VII Formula, Graphicscard: 2x Titan X @1,4 at stock voltage (soon to be replaced), Ram: 32 gb Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 Cl 9, SSD: 2x 850 Pro 1 Tb in Raid 0, 2x Samsung 840 Evo 1 tb raid 1,, PSU: Corsair HXi Series 1000W 80+ Platinum, Case: H440. Soon to be watercooled again, maybe, probably, the Titans are too loud.

if you wont SLI get a 650 watts unit, cant go wrong with corsair, noise blocker (these are pricecy but are real quiet) or any other know company, or look into a 550watts pasive unit (wont OC alot with that)

Budget would be under 180 after tax which for me is 5% it was looking at the 750rm is that enough?

Thank you very much everyone I never thought this forum would be so quick and so helpful. 850rm I will look into since I might add sli in the future.

Overkill.

If you want to sli, the rm750 is plenty. If not, a decent 550w would be plenty.
