I've only had bad personal experiences with ADATA, can't say the same for PNY or Kingston, however Sandisk is good as well. And of course my personal favorite Samsung brand.

sandisk have the best budget option in my opinion I would get a sandisk before ADATA anyday and I agree with you, I also agree about samsung being a safe bet if you are willing to pay its price, but god don't advertise PNY and Kingston, at least on the ssd market their offerings are awful, read the article of their practices and you'll get to dislike them too.

Hi, I'm currently looking to buy my first SSD and I have no idea what to buy. I have a budget of around £70 but am only looking for it to contain my Windows OS and maybe 1 or 2 games, therefore I am not looking for it to be extremely high in terms of storage capacity. As this is my first SSD, I have no experience of SSDs whatsoever so please ask any questions as to my priorities and bear this in mind.

I have included my full current system specs below for reference in case of any bottlenecks/restrictions:

CPU: Intel Core i5 6400
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 103
RAM: 2x4GB G.skill Ripjaw V DDR4 2133MHz
GPU: Sapphire RX480 Nitro+
Mobo: ASUS B150M Pro Gaming micro ATX
Storage: Seagate ST3000DM001 3TB 7200rpm 3.5 inch hard drive
PSU: Corsair RM650x Modular
(Case is TBD but it will either be Phanteks P400s or Pro M both TG)

Thank you for your time and patience. Please reply with any questions:)

I'd stray away from the ADATA. Either go with that PNY or see if there is a good Kingston available.

Either go with PNY or Kingston? are you high? those are the worse available:

To OP, you gonna want either a Crucial MX300, san disk ssd plus g26 or one that I have been using and found quite good the AMD Radeon 3

I've read that article in the past, and I'd say it would be unwise for them to continue manufacturing their drives that way since that news has been made public. I wasn't even really advertising though... more or less just telling them to stay away from the ADATA.
