Hi all

I complained alot about my pc not being able to run bf1 on medium settings because of my gpu usage.

I asked here for advice and all they said was because of bottlenecking.

I wanted to play bf1 again and i joined an empty server and suddenly my gpu and cpu usage were mostly of thime above 90%.

I turned the settings up to ultra and i got well above 60fps. It's probably because of other players or something.

Is there anyway to fix this ?

Specs; gtx 1060 3gb

           i5 6400

           8gb ram

The more players, the more physics have to be calculated in real time. Seeing a performance increase while on an empty server is only natural, if you're still struggling on medium settings though on full servers with those kinds of specs, then something else might be astray.

What kind of temperature is your cpu/gpu getting up to while you're on those fully loaded servers, when you start to see performance issues?

A 6400 while not exactly top end, is still not a weak cpu.

It most certainly though is a problem with the cpu, and not the gpu. A 1060 should manage well above that framerate even on a loaded server at even high settings. Unfortunately I'm not so sure there's a solid fix for it... the game is surprisingly cpu heavy. The only reliable fix for this kind of problem I've been able to find would be overclocking your cpu, but that's not exactly something you can do.

If turning down mesh detail doesn't improve performance, then I'm afraid there's not much we say that'll help you. Update drivers on geforce experience, try increasing your ram frequency, not much else I can say.
