Which would be more immersive?

ok, so I'm running an 8350 and 7970 in my rig right now.

This should be enough to run most gamed on high settings and some on max...but, my monitor setup is kinda crappy right now and I'm looking to upgrade so I can have a more immersive gaming experience.

This is my monitor now:

The Oculus is still a Dev Kit and not a consumer version I wouldn't get it.

Oculus Rift would be more immersive and your 7970 wont run surround very well

An oculus rift would be more immersive for first person but in other games i think it might not feel nearly has amazing. I would get and oculus when they come out instead of a dev kit and just get a good moniter for now.

yeah, I think I might just get the ASUS moniter until the oculus rift comes out

no i dont think so... 

 

unless you really like that 3 display surround stuff, one large high resolution monitor would be a better gaming experiences. 7970 can definitely max out games at 2560x1440 with out problem
