Why not 7700k? It has better IMC which will allow you to run RAM at higher speeds, which will give you better performance.

Other than that it is nice.

not to mention its typically able to hit higher clocks than a 6700k

but yeah system looks pretty solid. I might recommend a stronger GPU if you can afford it, as trying to hit 180hz even at 1080p is a lot for a 1070 if you expect to be running at ultra settings.

I would argue the highest you could afford. Now if you're okay with running SOME games at like 100hz area, then a 1070 is fine. but if you're expecting 180hz in every game, you're going to want that 7700k and 1080ti to give you the best chance you can get without sacrificing graphical quality... its all about what you want and what you're willing to spend in order to get it (even a 7700k and 1080ti won't give you 180hz constant in every game on the market at ultra settings)

but yes a gtx 1080 would be a good investment over a 1070 if you can work it into your budget.

Yes absolutely. its boost clocks and overclocks are going to be several hundred MHz more than a 6700k at the same voltages/temperatures. 7700k can also tolerate faster RAM more easily. Both of these things will be crucial to maintaining high refresh rates (100+) in demanding titles.
