I was about to make a post into the troubleshooting section about how my PC wouldn't Sleep/Shutdown or restart without me having to physically pressing the power button on my case and saw that Bios might do something about it and I have been looking around and can't really find anything about it needing to be so I'll ask here. I'm currently running an Asus Z170-A and bios version is 0404

try other fixes before updateing BIOS because there is a small chance a BIOS update can brick your motherboard. i would only use it as a final thing to try

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Alright, I was thinking the same thing after seeing that you could brick it. Thanks for the reply.

I think it's more of a Windows issue rather than a BIOS issue.
