Hey all

I have recently started installing security cameras into my home due to a increase of break-ins in the area, and my post being searched (suspected not proved)
After some research and trials I found ISpyConnect seems to work the best for me and I am loving it so far.

However I have some questions about it, which I cant seem to solve or find any information on.
I have posted in the official ISpy forums but they seem mainly dead, with about 1 in every 10-15 posts getting 1 or 2 reply's, and the rest getting none.

So I figured I would ask here to see if anyone else can help out.

Question 1:
continuous recording
As I said above, we suspect someone went though our mail a few days ago as one of the letters was opened and put back inside our mailbox.
Our front camera records the mailbox, but due to the footpath being right there, the motion detection area is set back to avoid false triggering (Shadows, wondering dogs etc)

We can see about a 2 hour period where the mailbox was opened (camera triggered at 2pm and 4pm ish) and we can see the lid of the mailbox changed position between those to times.
I know how to set the camera to 24/7 recording, but we like having the web interface of Ispy where it shows the clips where it detected motion and you can click each clip and watch it.

What I would like to know is, is there a way to setup 24 hour recording, on about a week loop or a few days loop, so if needed we can scrub though all the footage and find exact times we need,
But keep the motion detection clips so we can easily see the triggers when someone enters our property,

(I am going to try a few extra things tonight to see if I have missed a setting somewhere and will update this question accordinly based on my findings)

Question 2:
External Trigger

Same issue with the mailbox.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to setup something like a reed switch on the mailbox, so that when its opened it triggers a "Motion" alert and starts the clip recording.
As I said above I cant set the detection range to cover the mailbox due to too many false triggers, but we would like to know when the mailbox is accessed, just to make sure people arn't stealing our mail.

Any help on either of these would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
Tom
