i just downloaded the beta one and its still installing 15.301 not the 16.2.1

you are confusing some shit

the 16.2.1 is the package version not the graphics driver version - 15.301.1901 is the correct graphics driver version for that package

comparatively, for 15.7.1 Catalyst the graphics driver version is 15.201.1151.0

Everytime i launch radeon settings i get the new update thing, and every time i update (doesn't matter which option is it,the beta one or not) i reboot and still get this new update

ignore it

not on the laptop right now, but I remember that there is a setting to ignore updates

16.60.2011 is the video driver contained in Catalyst 17.2.1 - it does not have support for your video card: https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-17.2.1-Release-Notes.aspx

I had the same problem and also..when I open the task manager, it doesn’t display the gpu performance ..i had a GT710 before it and it displayed the gpu on there and now with this one it doesn’t. Yeah, idk what it is..and I swapped the cards cuz I was curious and I had just bought a brand new used HD5450 .......

The task manager shows that GPU performance needs to support a GPU with WDDM 2.0 or higher.

To display the GPU temperature in the task manager, you need a GPU that supports WDDM 2.4 or higher.

Radeon HD 5000 Radeon HD 6000 The drivers for these cards stopped updating in March 2016.

The highest driver only supports WDDM1.3
