My external 1Tb WD hard drive fell from my desk.

At first it showed up in file explorer, but I couldn't open any files. I can't remember the error message exactly but it had something to do with file directory.

I rebooted everything and now it doesn't show up in file explorer. When I open disk manager, it prompts me to initialize the disk. If I'm not mistaken, I should not do that since it would format it. In disk manager, it shows as unallocated.

The drive contains mainly movies and music that I want to keep (around 500Gb). Is there a solution to repair it? I don't mind having to buy a program for that as long as it's not too expensive.

Many thanks
