1. Get the 7700K for gaming and Ryzen for workstation.
2. You don't need 3TB HDD. 2TB is plenty.
3. Get the 1080ti if you can afford.
4. Get a better PSU. You can search for the PSU tier list in this forum. At least get a tier 3 PSU.
5. A 1080 will be wasted if paired with 1080p 60hz monitor. Get a 144hz 1080p monitor or 2k/4k 60hz monitor.

So im planning to build a pc towards the end of summer and was seeking input. And seeing as the channel is literally built around pc's i thought the forums would be a good place to get some. Heres the list:

change the ram to a 2x8gb kit, you don't get extra performance going with 4x4gb while ending up with more strain on the memory controller and have to spend more on future ram upgrades.

do you really need 3tb? 2tb should be more than enough.

don't get the founder's edition gtx 1080 unless you're using an SFF case, it will be hotter than AIB gtx 1080s.

get a better PSU, the NEX performs badly. the bitfenix fury and evga B2 are pretty good for a similar price.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
