The Pentium CPU is great for media PCs, but it can get bottlenecked with modern games.  You can save $50 by dropping down to a GTX 950 graphics card (which is about on par with an XBOX One for reference), and then use the money saved on that for a Core i3-7100.  The i3 isn't as good as an i5, but it will handle gaming better than the Pentium, and won't increase the budget when paired with the GTX 950.  And since those parts are extremely power efficient, the stock case fan will be enough to keep them well cooled (which will save you $24 instead of getting the additional fans).
