So I recently purchased a Samsung V-NAND SSD 850 EVO and want to add it to my rig. It is much smaller than my current hard drive and thus can't hold all of the data from my hd if I were to clone it. I don't have access to an external hard drive to store my extra data either. Is there a way that I can install the new SSD, make it the boot drive as well as have a small amount of apps stored on it for quick use and then use my old hd as a storage drive without having to delete half of my data. I do have a flash drive with the correct version of windows 7 on it if that helps me any.

Thanks!

I'd just put the drive in, set it to be the priority boot device, and install Windows onto it.

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named
