Are the 7700K and 6700K the same chip? Hell no. Kaby is known to run significantly hotter stock due to worse TIM

Honestly most tests claim over 15 C but I thought that was a decent average including some of the lower tests I have seen.

No offence to Linus but he isn't the be all and end all of information. Overclockers UK sell pre-binned Kaby i7's and the description states 15c - 30c lower temps using Liquid Metal when using a good cooling solution/psu and motherboard.
