I just a got a pair of Hyper X Cloud Pro Gaming Headset. I plug them up to my audio and headphone jack of my new MSI gaming laptop but it doesn't pick up the mic. Only the headphones work. Do I need to update drivers or something?

No I tried C (direct connect into Mic and Headphone jack. and with the control box I and H

Is your laptop has 1 port?

Go to sound settings and see if recording devices are there

Only Realtek Microphone and Realtek Stereo Mix. Nothing about my headset

you need to use E to connect it if you have two ports.

that's what I'm using at the moment. I'm doing the Microphone headset option set up in control panel > Ease of Access > Speech Recognition. The mic picks up a little but I have to shove it in my mouth and talk really loud. no one is it able to be used for normally gaming situations
