So in my front panel audio jack, the sound going to my headphone is getting picked by my mic along with my voice.
It's not a direct connexion between the two, but like if I was using speaker and the mic at the same time. It's doing this even when the mic is unplug from my computer.
(i can plug an extension cable for both mic and sound in my front audio jack and leaving the other end of the extension unplug and the mic will record the sound from my computer.)
When using the rear IO of my motherboard, the effect is extremely reduce to what I think could be consider normal.
My headset is not the problem, could be my motherboard of a malfunction of the front panel of my case. I contact phanteck and they will sell me a replacement PCB for the front panel at 20$. However I dont want to waste my money and time changing the PCB.
If it's a motherboard problem, I could buy a sound card i guess but I dont want to if it's a case problem.
Could it be software issue?
My motherboard is a Asus Maximus Hero VII
My case is Phanteck Enthoo Luxe
My headset is Kingston HyperX cloud I

Windows 10

Front panel audio is usually not as good as the rear panel.  Most front panel connections don't have much if any shielding at all to prevent cross talk.  With the 'HD Audio' connector, the mic is considered active if anything is inserted into the jack.  There are pins that sense something is in there and enable the mic so if you have an extension plugged in with nothing plugged into it, the jack is still active.  Unplug the extension and it should not have any cross talk as the jack should be deactivated.  The issue could be in the motherboard trace design or it could be the in the cases implementation of the front panel audio connectors.  If it's the case, a sound card won't do anything to fix it if you still intend to use the front panel audio.  If you cannot use the rear ports - consider a USB headset or a USB sound card.  Or maybe a dock that would extend the back ports to a small box you could mount on or under your desk.
Have you checked the sound manager to make sure that it's not a setting issue?

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.

Yes, software sided, it's all cleared.

Phanteck would sell me a replacement front panel board for $20. Could that solved my problem?

I checked for USB DAC, and they are kinda expensive. I was looking for something under 50$ and people are suggesting the asus DGX at this price.

Any recommendation of some budget usb DAC ?
