You can't unless you've got a laptop with a K series CPU, and the BIOS allows you to play with the clocks and voltages, as any other CPU and laptop, might only let you turn off speedstep, turbo boost, hyperthreading, and turn off multi-core processing.

yes

It is possible to undervolt you have to get throttlestop though ive got my 6700hq locked at my turbo boost which is up to 3.5 ghz (it never gets that high though) but during gaming my cores are locked at about 3.1-3.3 ghz depending on a game (as long as you don't go below or above designer specifications you should not void your warranty)

I am planning to use Intel extreme tuning utility ( like how in the video). But what i am worried is whether will undervolting void warranty. I am not planning to overclock my cpu in the moment.

yes i know you want to undervolt i was just providing an example to show you that because i did not exceed designer specifications that my warranty will not void( because i did not overclock). Intel XTU In my opinion is hard and i would rather use throttle stop if you look up guides maybe you can find an undervolt guide because throttle stop has presets like battery, game, e.t.c

it will not void your warranty and it is next to impossible to tell if you done something like that

That's wrong. The reason why it's locked to 3.1ghz is that the 6700HQ 4 core core is 3.1ghz. It can't go higher.

will not void your warranty. Throttlestop is far better than XTU. You cannot overclock your processor anyway. Undervolt away.

That's not a setting. It's just the default clocks on the 6700hq. You guys don't have the luxury to set your own clock speed.
