II recently bought a used hd 6950 more and I have some problems with it, first of all it boots with two unrendered pink lines on my screen and it does not want to install the amd drivers.

When I install the drivers I get a full black screen.

What is the problem ?

check the card carefully. see if there's a very small BIOS switch on it.......... not sure if ASUS actually made one of those though ( I have a sapphire model that does ).

also, list power supply make and model..............

.............. AND, what was the old card?

if it's a card that has a dual BIOS, flipping the switch from one to the other might help............. or if it's magically actually stuck between the 2 BIOS' by old owners mistake................... otherwise the card is toast and you need to get your money back.
