Asus VS229NA

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

It's just a regular 1080p that has nothing special to stand out

No built in speaker

Just a TN panel most likely

No mention of refresh rate so a 60hz is also most likely

Doesn't have HDMI port

If you look at the Overview Tab, it advertises a 178º viewing agles, 80,000,000:1 contrast ratio and "the finest image and color quality." Has to be IPS

Wonder why they don't include that in spec sheet. Been looking at multiple stores and sources and none state IPS

Those viewing angles are pretty much standard, even TN panels have them. Contrast ratios that high are usually dynamic and a TN panel has that too and that "the finest image and color quality." is just marketing talk.

But anyways, according to Amazon it's a VA panel. Which is not as bad as TN panels, but not as good as IPS.

Also to OP, 22" VA panels for this price are quite common. BENQ has some too.
