I got a PSU for my 3D Printer and I hooked it all up and when I turned it on it went POP. I opened it up and the fuse was blown, so I replaced it with the same type of fuse and that fuse popped too. I dug a little deeper, and on the under side of the PCB I discovered this:

Which is underneath this:

I'm pretty sure this occurred because when I mounted it to the 3D Printer, the screw I used was long and for some stupid reason I decided to jam it all the way in.

Is there any possible way to repair this?

well.. seeing the power supply in my printer costs about €35 for a replacement, i'd say it's probably not worth your time, and most certainly not worth the time of a wizard.

I agree. But honestly, I am so sick of spending money on these printers (I have 4, it's an addiction :P) that I would like to go a cheaper route, but as you said it's not worth the time. Gonna just buy a new one :(

well, 3D printing isnt a very cheap technology, some stuff just costs money...

look at it like this: a replacement power supply probably costs less than a roll of fillament.

I once tryed to fix a PCB, be scuffing up them broken wires, and solder on regular coper wires. That didn't work, because it involved some chips. But considering your wires go to some condensators (me thinks), you could give it a try. Can't make it worse... It's already broken.

if it's just the PCB, it's usually quite an easy fix, the issue is what else is broken, and if nothing, is there maybe hidden damage that may result in premature failure?
