GTX 980 is the most powerful of the bunch.

RX 480 8GB is a close competitor to the 980, although it's not on the list.

i would prefer anything if it saves my money and i can get solid performance. I would prefer anything that could get me to 120fps on max graphics on rainbow 6 seige or the division. right now i am on a 730m + i5 3rd gen so anything would be better

No, it's similar to 1060 and worse than 480 8GB.

980 is similar to the 1060, however OP is considering the 3GB model of the 1060, which the 980 beats.

RX480 is better than 980 you're right.

Wattttt, don't get 1060 3G lol. They are made similarly to the 970 and 1070. They take chips with maybe a section defective and turn then into lower end chips like 980 to 970.

What's your budget and location?

Usually an RX480 is the best bet for stuff like this, although I'm not sure if it will be able to pull 120FPS

why do you have such an old cpu? a kabylake i5 is much cheaper and is obviously better?

ok i have decided not to get the 1050ti so now its down to the rx 480 vs the 1060-3gb. they are practically the same speed but they have different manufacturers and its not easy to choose which to get. 1 point already is that the rx 480 has 1gb more in gddr5
