Graphic card detection issue

Hey guys I'm a weird issue with my graphics card. Previously I had an rx 480 and a gtx 980 installed together on a gigabyte z97 gaming 5 mobo. The issue was whenever I shut down my computer and started back again my display won,t show up. So I tried installing the card in other pcie slo and the display shows. So I did a clean install of windows 10 with the UEFI boot and install gtx 980 with the latest driver and still I'm facing the same issue i.e every time I shut down and start my computer I have to change the pcie slot in order for the display to show up. I NEED HELP,  RESEARCHED A LOT AND NO LUCK.

Sounds like a conflict... Why are you using 2 different cards like that from different vendors? The 980 will be more than sufficient for any task you would need to do as well as game nicely.. remove the RX 480 from your system.

I removed the rx 480 and did a clean install of windows 10 with only 980 and its drivers.

The card should always be in the top most PCIe slot to get the full 16 PCIe lanes provided by the CPU. Have you tried flashing your BIOS to the latest available from Gigabytes website?
