Brilliant mix of power from the CPU and looking forward.. the GPU.

The price range you have..

If you are not going for a more powerful CPU by dropping the GTX1070 is it really worth that?
Any future game will be fine at ultra for much longer and also other presets respectively.

Some GTX1060s in some select titles are not getting 60fps locked out of the box esp super demanding ones.

If your usage isnt maxing at 1080p you know its keeping it from running as hot as it could be.. also...You'll also have Nvidia DSR headroom for enhanced visual quality if you DO want that higher gpu usage.

Your cpu may limited your maxfps in some games when they call for 8+ threads worth of work...but your min and avg are the important ones to maintain and the combo you have with the GTX1070 will do that even pushing for maximum details.

CPU - Most editing programs use gpu assistrd encoding so dont think your i5 is a slouch. Matching likely a higher clocked haswell cpu like the 4670 or 4690 in multithreaded and the 6th/7th gen is faster in single threaded apps.

Once the Windows OS is put on any modern SSD, the machine will be brilliant.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a motherboard with wifi?

Barracudas have a bad reputation, I wouldn't put any important data on it...

Also, your case costs more than your monitor? I'd rather have a cheaper case and a better monitor.

Does you mum know you're here?

Decent build.

The motherboard is mATX while the case will house ATX. So the case will look a little empty. But if you really like the case, keep it;

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
