Living with windows server 2003?

Hey! are you looking for a older OS that will run on anything?

Well...i found it....and its not windows XP or linux

 

Server 2003...Yep

You can find ISO files of this OS floating around the internet

 

Here is the "benchmarks"

Of course this OS can't keep up with Windows 10 but its good for some stuff

 

In basic web browsing it kept up well.

Going on to youtube i could hear my music without any stuttering..But the framerate was not the best, i think this was from the only 16MB of VRAM i gave it in our virtual machine.

 

Of course, why would you want to do this? Maybe you have a PC under 512MB of ram (Ubuntu's lowest requirements)

For a literal potato, Windows Server 2003 is good, but I generally recommend Lubuntu.

For advanced internet services like Google+, YouTube, Google Drive, and Facebook, your computer needs at least 1 GB of RAM.

For local programs like LibreOffice and simple browsing habits, your computer needs at least 512 MB of RAM.

Strange...it doesn't use nearly that much for me when I use it on my laptop.

Those are suggestions. I've played Youtube on 512 megs. It has to be lower res and it isn't particularly functional, but it works.
