Hey, first post but I have a legitimate question.

For people who have never played a Mass Effect game before, is there any point getting Mass Effect: Andromeda or will there be a lot of confusion and therefore not making it worth it?

Thanks for your help.

I have never played any of the others and I am currently playing the origin access 10 hour trial. Not grasping me 100% at the moment, but I have hopes.

Thanks. I'm really into RPG games (mainly Bethesda) but the trailers and gameplay for this look really good.

What are your specs and how's it running? I'm not sure my PC will be able to handle it.

I am normally a FPS kind of person and some of the "team" dynamics are a bit different for me, but it is getting better and better.

I am running it at a constant 60 FPS (monitor max) at ultra in almost all categorires (using the self setup through the game) on my i7 4970k and GTX 1080 hybrid with 16gb of ram.

Thanks for the info. Bit more than my measly 860K and GTX 960. Guess I'll wait for some benchmarks from other people

It's still entirely possible that it's just not a fantastic game, to be honest. I haven't touched it yet, but the initial impressions from most of the critics I pay attention to have been mixed at best.

If you haven't played a Mass Effect game yet, you could just go back to the original trilogy. Not because it's necessary in order to enjoy Andromeda, but those are reasonably good games that are cheap now (minus the DLC ). By the time you're done, Andromeda will probably have had price cuts and the community will have a better impression as to whether it's worth playing.
