It is a custom ROM that is made for many Android smartphones. CyanogenMod, which was the most popular custom ROM, and Cyanogen Inc, which was a separate company building ROMs for manufacturers, such as OnePlus (OnePlus One), were shut down and all the code was forked and re-branded to LineageOS.
