'sup people,

I was wondering, if there is a way for shadowplay to record your voice.
I tried to going into control panel and listening to the device and then doing it, but that gave others terrible echo on skype.
I tried outputting my voice through the speakers in my monitor, while turning the sound to 0 on the monitor itself, that didn't work either.
I know that currently shadowplay is in beta and there is no official way, but I was wondering if there is a workaround of some sort?

p.s. I had no idea where to put this topic, so if it's in the wrong place, please move this topic. :)

Is there any specific reason why you'd like to do that, why not use something like audacity? kristaps552

So I don't have to deal with syncing sound and using audacity will involve more editing etc. etc.

I just want to press a button and record audio+video and have it all in sync. That would save me lots more time.

I do understand that and I cant provide answers if shadowplay can do that or not. But also editing your audio does help bring the quality of videos up as you can remove background noise and stuff. But I'm not going lecture you on making videos since you probably have more experience

I don't, I have no experience whatsoever, I just like testing various things out, maybe, just maybe, i'll get hooked on making gaming/random videos, and that's when i'll start to care about all those littly nifty things, and every single setting n stuff.

Currently enabling "loopback" through your control panel is the only way to record your own voice. But like you experienced, this isn't an option if you use speakers. Shadowplay only records what is outputted to your speakers, not any inputs.

Oh what a coincidence, I just started experimenting with the same thing. Don't have a proper mic so I'm not going to talk but that's not compulsory and I'm not courageous enough either. So I'm currently learning to edit. Mostly prepping for doing all kinds of dark souls II stuff.

But good luck on your video making Endeavour :)

I don't use speakers, I use my ath-m50's but as others were experiencing terrible echo (probably courtesy of the zalman clip on mic), i tried outputting the audio onto my monitor speakers which were turned down to 0%, but shadowplay didn't pick that up.

Darn, I figured the echo was caused from the mic picking up your own voice being played back through the speakers. No idea why people would be getting an echo with that feature turned on when using headphones.

Remember people, for being in beta and just released, I'd say the feature works damn well. I'm sure they'll add more audio and video options in coming patches. At least I hope :P

I'm pretty sure what you're after can be done using a virtual sound card.... It's incredibly complex though, always does my head in. But if you're really interested try looking up virtual audio cable. But in reality, edit your videos... Shadowplay is good but through editing you can get a 3.8GB Shadowplay recording down to under 1GB,which is good when you need to upload and the quality it more or less the same. You also get the benefit of more professional looking content

I am good at computer
