Pfsense router

After seeing the pfsense router build, i have the idea to reuse some old hardware to see if i can build my own router.

But i have the following question: Are there any good pfsense compatible Wifi AC adapters available?

no. DO NOT use pfsense as an access point.

What's the reasoning for this?

I use a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 in one of my pfSense boxes, works absolutely fine as an AP.

Because it's an old feature that was abandoned by the developers years ago, and is really crappy.
