Hello!!! I'm new to this community so i hope to get a lot of help from this. I am planning to "upgrade" and build my very first PC with a budget of 6 Benjamin Franklin (that I've worked for U<U) and right now I currently have what i think would be all I need, but again this is my first time doing so, so I don't want to screw this up, hence coming to this community in the first place. So far these are the parts that I have to which i believe are the correct ones, CPU:  Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler , Mother Board:   ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150, Ram: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory , Storage:

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive , GPU: MSI GeForce GT 730 2GB Video Card , PC Case:  NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case, Power Supply:  EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply , Case Fan: Three NZXT RF-FN142-RB 50.0 CFM 140mm Fan , External Storage: Seagate Backup Plus 1TB External Hard Drive. This is what im planning to buy so if any one can tell me if this is all good or whether there needs to be some changes or a better or cheaper part, I would appreciate it, I put my PC dream in the hands of you guys, (I really hope this is the right place to put this problem on)

What exactly is this an upgrade to?  Please don't get a GT 730... either step up to something capable of gaming if you need it, or don't bother and save the cash

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Also, -moved to new builds and planning-

And for all the non-Americans and those too lazy, I've translated the budget as $600 US

Or, if you have no intention to play games, drop the 1050 Ti and swap the HDD for a SSD (or just add and SSD).  Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
