Well it's been months now. It all started on a nvidia update, back in August or so. I uodated my drivers, and after i started noticing that games didn't feel butter smooth. Considering my specs, i can't understand why they wouldn't. At first i thought it was the game i was playing, but after watching people play the same game, with specs lower than mine. I am going to assume it's nvidia. Ive heard of other people having this same issue.

Extra info

1) i have reset my pc 4 times since that time. Clean install and everything.

2) my fps is around 300+ in most games.

yea i always have it on, and for a few seconds it's smooth, but then when i start doing intense stuff, it drops to 50 or, and if i turn it off, it never drops from 100.

Try with older drivers, when gaming was smooth. Not all updates are good ones.

For nvidia, where could i find the list of the updates

Search by your GPU and OS then it'll pop up a list of all the driver versions.

Need to give more info tbh. Does the game stall at certain times. Does it freeze. Does it creep along then speed up and slow down. Is there any visual effects in game which is out of place.

And tbh cap your FPS playing at 300 fps might be the problem. Cap it at 120fps or 144fps or 165fps depending on your monitor refresh rate.

Another thing if you have a gysnc monitor and is hitting over 144fps there will be alot of input lag which can stall in game. Make sure that is off. Only put gync on if you are hitting below 144fps

No it never freezes or anything, it just kinda seems below smooth. I dont know if im used to a different frame rate or something, but its just not smooth.

Getting any problems outside of gaming. Any blue screens of death. Maybe check your Memory. TBH i cant see that being the problem like. But you have to think outside of the box sometimes when it comes to PC. You have to eliminate everything and sometimes finding a root cause of something for PC can be a right pain in the backside trust me.

Could be a Monitor problem if vsync is not working right. You say your not getting any screen tearing or anything like that. If you hitting 300 fps and its not smooth

You say its seems below smooth? What do you mean below smooth. Thats very vague tbh. Below smooth. Means it slows down like the fps hits a brick wall. ?

Make sure you bios settings are ok and check your memory speeds settings are set right.

By smooth, it's like, I'm getting 1000 fps, but i don't feel like its going 1000 fps. I feel like its 30

Im taking it your monitoring your FPS in game and can clearly see what FPS your hitting. Is your FPS a constant FPS for example its hitting 110 to 120 all the time.

Or does it dip really low to high for example. On second your getting 120 fps then another second you getting 40 fps.

If you can see you fps and its saying for example 144 fps all the time and its not dipping that much. And it feels like its running at 30 you say and its reading 144 at the same time. Check your monitor settings.

Re-install the nvidia drivers but first make sure you unistall the drivers and do a FULL CLEAN unistall. Reboot PC then if i remember right there is some software which helps with left over nividia drivers in your system which can cause problems you will have to google it. Once you are sure you have all the drivers uninstalled then install the drivers again.

I get a feeling its either a driver issue or to less effect a monitor problem or settings issue.

In my experience, v-sync can cause both input lag and stuttering.

Naw, its rising and dropping, nothing under my monitor hz (60) but it still drops and rises like 100 fps.
