Custom recovery problems.

So I flashed my Samsung Galaxy S3 with TWRP recovery, and it worked the first time, but now I turn on my phone, and the screen doesn't work, sound and the buttons on the bottom do, this was my first time doing this, and the Micro USB port on my S3 is broken so I really need some help.

Laptop specs:

CPU: Core i7 3630QM

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT630M

RAM: 16gb of unknown origin

Storage: 1tb HDD (probably going to upgrade to an SSD at some point)

Mouse: Corsair M65 Pro RGB

My friend told me to do a hard reboot and that fixed it.
