Dxtory help

I'm like brand new to using any capture software (or hardware for that matter) and after watching many tutorials, I understand Dxtory but I can't figure out why it won't start recording, I have a hotkey set up and it has a harddrive to go to and everything. I know I'm either an idiot, or missing something important, or both.
