So I'm a noob at this, but I'm planning to build my own gaming pc, just kinda researching and stuff on how to do build one. I just know the basics so far, kinda just figuring out which parts I'd like to have but I really have no idea where to start.

Location: Calgary, Canada.

Budget: I'll have around $1500 ready in a month, probably. Lesser expenses would be preferable, but I'll also take a higher price alternative.

Purpose: Mostly for gaming and recording them. A little bit of video editing.

Monitors: Just one but a high quality, idk the resolutions but HD ones maybe? Not touchscreen though.

Peripherals: no need, I'll buy them separately.

Case: I'd like a full tower case with nice aesthetics kinda like NZXT Phantom (Black) ATX Full Tower Case

OS: Preferably Windows 7.

Storage: 120GB ssd and 500GB

Ram: 8GB

I'll be using it for a variety of FPS or MMORPGs like Battlefield 4. I know It's I'm not buying it for the next three days but I just want to have the general idea of the parts I will have to aim for. Prices change very quickly so i'll put my budget range to $1200-$1600.

With that budget, spend less on the case and more on the core components. You don't need a full tower, a mid tower will do.

A month is a while from now. Plan later. Parts and prices change frequently--2-3 days before you buy at most.

A non reference 290 + a 1440p display would be your best bet for a great gaming experience.

If you want to save 150$ and still play on ultra at 1080P then Sapphire 280x

sure, ill probably take that instead. ultra at 1080p is good enough for me since i wont really be doing hardcore gaming.

i just want a pc that's decent enough for any game where i dont need to overclock since i dont really know how overclocking works and i assumed it's best not to touch that area.

It is super easy, just watch any of the thousands of tutorials on youtube

would you be able to provide a $1000 build excluding peripherals and OS and would it be able to run ultra on 1080p?

Sorry for the late response
