Help with some issues with my PC.

I built my PC just under a year ago and I have already upgraded it a bit. It works almost perfectly but recently there have been a few issues.

 

Issue 1:

8 out of 10 times when i shut down my PC, all my peripherals turn off like they should but the fans don't stop and then my PC reboots as iff i clicked restart but i didn't.

 

Issue 2:

When i boot up my PC after about 20 seconds after logging in to windows the screen goes black for a few seconds and then goes back to normal.

 

Any help is welcome.

Reset the CMOS, and the windows issue is nothing if it doesnt affect your performance

How do i reset the COMS and what does that do?

no power turn off the PSU and press the power button on your case to discharge the caps on the board!

then just touch the pins for around 5 seconds or so with the tip of a screwdriver and it should clear the CMOS!

 

If your motherboard does not have a CLEAR CMOS jumper, you can often clear itsCMOS settings by removing the CMOS battery and replacing it. ... Clearing theCMOS should always be performed for a reason – such as troubleshooting a computer problem or clearing a forgotten BIOS password. .
