1)There is a game called Temple of Elemental Evil.

2)I can install and play the game normally, BUT i want to play it with a new mod called Temple+. But when i run the exe of the mod i get the error below:

Runtime Error!
Program: ..../zgo(the way i named my user)/AppData/Local/TemplePlus/app-1.0.29/TemplePlus.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

3)My OP is Windows 7 64bit.

4)The developer of the mod says: maybe its because of my GPU, which is -> GeForece 7900 GT/GTO (11 year old now).

5)What could have changed so drastically that while i can run the original game i cant run the mod? Here is a link to the mod and its features http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/temple-changelog.99319/

I have tried a couple of things but nothing worked.

I dont have hopes.. but maybe im lucky and there is a solution?

Well, probably ?
Try to borrow DX11 card and check.

But if software is OK (Windows Updates, Visual C++, .NET, etc.), only hardware remains as cause.

Yes, Visual have both x86 and x64.

Yes, all of them, from 2005-2015.

SP1 installed.

I installed dxwebsetup but it says a newer version of Direct X is installed already and no installation is needed.

I havent installed .NET 2/3.5. Let see if that helps.

EDIT:

NET. 2 and 3.5 are already installed.

trying to run old games/apps on new operating systems doesn't always work nicely.

if the game has an icon on the desktop, right click on it. go to properties ( probably at the bottom ) and click on it. a new screen will pop up. look for compatibility in one of the little boxes at the top. open the drop down menue and try one of the suggestions made............ NT or XP , or whatever. ( try NT first- might say 4.0 or something ). then go to the bottom and hit okay. then try to run the app. I* don't think a restart is needed.

there were patches. whether G.O.G. has the patches included I don't know.

anyways< I tried running on W7 for a little bit and couldn't get it going. not going to mess with it any more. I'm not going to dig my XP machine out and download it again either. return the game. get you $5 back./

A guy suggest me this program -> http://dege.freeweb.hu/

But from what i understand (me being a total noob to this kind of things) my GPU (GeForce 7900 GT/GTO) supports Directx 9.0c (as Agent_x007 said above) and gdVoodoo 2 doesnt wrap Directx 9. So basically even that program cant help in my case??

Please guys someone that understands from these kind of things let me know.

if you're all that worried about DX9, download and install it or go find a game disc that has it as an extra and install it from there.  let us know if you ever get it fixed.

why don't you find an old voodoo card or a card that only renders dx8 and shader model 2.0
